WALKING INTO MY bedroom after taking a shower and changed into my
comfortable clothes. After what happened to me and my ex-boyfriend
Charles, I’ve been single for a few years before Olivia urged me to attend
her graduation party.
I was fortunate not to become pregnant, but I was really wounded that he
took advantage of me. I couldn’t figure out why he did it to me.
I’m sitting down on my bed, waiting for my body to dry, and I reach for
my medication because I don’t want to be depressed when I go out with my
friends. No matter what, I have to take my escitalopram pills all the time.
However, the worst thing is that the side effects make me feel really
weary. But I’d go home and sleep for the night.
I hear my phone ring and breathe deeply as I take it from my nightstand
to see it is Olivia calling me. I raise my eyebrows in bemusement as I push
the answer button, wishing I hadn’t answered her call, but I didn’t have an
option.
“Hello?” I yawn as I unlock the lid of my pill bottle and take one tablet
out of the container.
“Are you still coming, Em?” Olivia lifts her brows, puzzled, and grins
sweetly.
I sigh heavily and nod in annoyance; I’m not sure why she keeps inviting
me over; I guess I usually cancel when I’m feeling low or depressed. “Yes,
I’ll be right over. You keep asking me after you made the arrangements
every day.” I sigh heavily.
“I’m sorry, but I just need you to come.” Olivia gives a warm grin.
“OK, I’ll be there in a few minutes. Bye, Liv.” I sigh heavily as I remove
my phone away from my ear, knowing that I don’t want to be around people
right now, but I have no option but to be there.
After swallowing my happy pill and sipping from my water bottle, I sigh
deeply since I’m exhausted and get up from my bed.
GETTING INTO MY car after I make sure my windows and doors are
locked, I usually make sure my apartment is secured, and I put my purse on
the passenger seat since I know I have a therapy session tomorrow, which
I’m not looking forward to. It was my second appointment with my
therapist.
I sigh heavily as I start my car since Olivia’s house is an hour away from
mine. I’m not sure why Olivia acquired a house so far away from me and
Julia, but it’s well; I’ll keep myself busy in the car.
I’ve known my two best friends since high school; they’ve always been
there for me, and they were aware of what happened to me as a result of my
depression and how Charles used me for sex.
