TRISTAN
THE SHRILL OF MY PHONE’S RINGER WAKES ME FROM A DEAD SLEEP.
“Fucking hell, who’s calling me at this hour?” I mutter to myself as I roll
over, looking for the device. I roll directly into a warm and naked body.
Memories from the night come flooding back to me. Just hours ago, I had a
chick riding my face while another was riding my cock. The constant ringing
forces me from my bed.
I stumble across my bedroom, searching for the obnoxiously loud device,
finally finding it beneath the edge of my dresser.
“Hello,” I groggily say into the phone.
“Tristan, where are you? I need help, man,” my best friend, Jackson, says.
I slide a hand across my face; the amount of tequila I drank last night is
not helping me much now. “I’m at home. What’s up?”
“It’s Kendra,” he says, and my hackles instantly go up. Kendra is his little
sister. I had to remind myself many times when we were teenagers that she
was his little sister and not some chick I could lust after or fuck in the locker
room at school.
“What about Kendra?” I bite out as bile from all the alcohol last night
burns the back of my throat.
“She needs help, and I don’t know what to do,” he cries into the phone.
“What about Kendra? What happened?” I repeat. My words are more
biting than before.
“I don’t know yet; she’s being checked out by a doctor now. He really did
a number on her. I’m going to fucking kill him,” Jackson trails off.
“Doctor?” I question. “I’ll kill the motherfucker that touched her,” I
seethe.
“He did a number on her,” Jackson’s voice cracks again. “We need to get
her away from him once and for all.”
“She can come here,” I tell him.
“Are you sure?” he asks. “She’s going to need some help; can you give
her that?”
“I can get whatever help she might need.”
“It’s bad, Tristan.” I can hear the desperation in his voice.
“I’ll try to be there by the end of the day. What hospital are you at?” I
ask, already making a mental note of what I must do to fly home and bring
back my best friend’s little sister.
“We’re at Mass General; I’ll text you if she’s discharged before you
arrive.”
“Sounds good. I’ll text you my flight info once I can get something
booked.”
“Thanks, man. I appreciate it.” He sounds slightly relieved, which makes
me feel better.
“Of course, you know I love Kendra like a sister. I’d do anything for her,”
I say, reminding myself more than him that I need to think of her as my
sister, not a woman who can warm my bed.
