GIO
The man whose throat my fingers are wrapped around, his back
pushed against the wall leaving him nowhere to run and nowhere to
hide, has the typical look on his face that I’ve grown so accustomed
to in these situations.
Regret.
He’s realizing very quickly that I’m going to fuck him up, and enjoy every
second while I do. His bitch ass ‘friends’ are smart enough to stand back and
just let me do it, too. Even if they didn’t have a group of guns trained on them
right now they probably aren’t stupid enough to pretend to grow some balls,
step up, and think they have any chance of fucking with me. The annoyance
on my face clearly telegraphs I don’t have time for this bullshit today…from
anyone.
My fingers wrap tighter around the man’s windpipe and a choking sound
comes gurgles in his throat while his face turns bright purple, the effeminate
shade suiting him to a T.
“Gio. Sir…you might want to let him breathe,” Jimmy says to my left. “He
needs to be able to tell us what we want to know.”
I manage to relax my grip and the stupid prick slumps to the floor like the
spineless coward he is. I look down at him and spit.
His men tense again, but like before they’re smart enough not to try anything
stupid, which they know will result in an immediate ride on the highway to
hell courtesy of a bullet to the brain.
“Did I make my fucking point?” I snarl. The man moans, not even attempting
a coherent response, and I give him a swift kick in the ribs to punctuate that
I’m not here to waste my time waiting for an answer. I am not playing games.
“Next Tuesday. Ten a.m.” The man groans. Perfect. That’s the shipment that
will bring in enough cash to buy what I need.
I lean down again. “Now was that so hard?” Nodding at my guys, I quickly
turn and walk towards my car. That guy thought he was coming here for a
friendly meeting and had no idea he was about to get his ass kicked by the
Terror of Tuscany. At first it sounded like a kid’s nickname to me and I
dismissed it out of hand. But somehow it stuck, and I’ve grown to like it and
the reputation of fear it carries with it.
“Set everything up,” I bark at Jimmy. “We just need a few guys.” Something
like a shipment getting taken over wasn’t anything difficult. Most of the time
the guys just give it up without a fight, and nobody will care enough to even
send the cops after us.
It’s a living.
“Let’s get out of here. I told my Dad I’d be there when his girl arrives.”
Jimmy jumps into the driver’s seat and we peel out quickly. Life as a gang
leader along with trying to balance a home life is always a juggling act. Even
though my Dad knows exactly what I do, he’s good at understanding and
maintaining separation.
