“Marcus, where in the fuck are you? You were supposed to be
here an hour ago!”
“I’m on my way, big dawg. I apologize. I’ll be there in like ten
minutes.”
I ended the call and rubbed my hand over my face. Marcus was not
gonna delay our wedding today. We’d start this muthafucka without his ass.
Today, Olivia would become my wife, and I was beyond excited to make
what we had official. “That nigga prolly somewhere getting his dick wet.
Just the past six months of being around that nigga, all he talk about is
pussy. Just a fuckboy at the highest level,” Storm mouthed.
“Damn, Storm. You ain’t gotta insult the nigga like that. Before we all
got married, we were fucking around too,” Jasper added.
“Yeah, but by his age we were already married. Plus, he got two kids
that are watching his every move.”
“I don’t care about none of that. All I care about is the fact that he ain’t
where the hell he supposed to be.”
My four out of five groomsmen were here and dressed. My brothers and
Decaurey, Vee’s son, were serving me the honor of standing to witness our
nuptials. She had my three sisters as her bridesmaids, along with Nesha, and
my sister-in-law, Keisha. We had to get other family members to help with
the food since the best cooks in Nome were in the wedding. Mama, Jessica,
Vida, and LaKeith’s daughter, Janessa, were some of the ones helping out
with that. Aspen and Chasity would oversee the flow of the entire wedding
ceremony. The wedding would be starting in thirty minutes, so Marcus had
better get here already dressed.
My sisters had done an amazing job decorating the barn, as usual. It
could almost be another business venture for them, but shit… they didn’t
have the time. Everyone’s businesses were prospering and ate up a lot of
their time. Tiffany floated around in her free time already. Sometimes she
helped Jen and Chrissy when they had to cater events, and other times she
helped Chasity in the business office because Henderson Ranch and Farms
had grown exponentially.
As I paced, I couldn’t help but think about my baby. I couldn’t believe
we were doing this shit already. This would be each of our second
marriages, and hopefully both our last. While I had no doubt that our
marriage would work… just in case it didn’t, this would still be my last.
Although I’d had two marriages including this one, it felt like three if I
included Nesha’s mom. We were extremely close and had talked about
marriage until she went left and ended up in jail for shoplifting.
When the door opened and Marcus walked through putting on his shirt,
I rolled my eyes. Niggas just couldn’t do right. “My bad, bruh.”
