BILLY
NO TYPICAL OFFICE-WORKING demon in their right mind would
be waiting in the parking garage an hour early so that they could watch their
crush drive in.
But I wasn’t in my right mind.

It had been two weeks since more chaos had occurred in my workplace.
In the first round, I was able to avoid most of the damage. But the second, I
ended up being kidnapped by an ex-employee and then escaped with my
HR agent.
At least my HR agent was friendly, but still.

It was a hellish environment to work in, but I liked hell. I was a demon,
after all. A monster. A creature that craved a little chaos in the morning
with my eggs and toast.

From what I had gathered, there was a group of individuals working to
kidnap omega witches. I wasn’t sure what entirely for, but… I’d been
around long enough to know how powerful they could be.
But there had never been this many of them, goddamn it.
Last week, Alex brought in some of the witches that had escaped the
evil enemy’s hands. He had given them a job at the office to help them get
back on their feet. Some of them seemed to be okay, and some of them not
so much. But, overall, there was one problem— one of them was mine.
Or they would be mine.
If they noticed me.

The omega witches always came in early and left early. Sometime over
the weekend, I decided that I would have to take matters into my own
hands.

What better way to start my campaign of getting in Jaehan’s pants than
to begin on a Monday.
I watched as headlights flashed across the concrete, a silver hatchback
pulling in. It pulled into a parking spot behind me, making me smile.
It was go-time.

I started to get out of my car, grabbing my bag and coffee mug. I shut
the door just as he did, drawing his attention over to me.
Jaehan was too sexy for his own good. He always wore a crisp buttondown and dark slacks with a leather belt and shoes, his black hair always
damp in the mornings. He had warm beige skin, deep brown eyes, and a
smooth face that I wanted to hold between my claws.
He gave me a sleepy smile, turning to head for the elevators.
I followed him, giving him just enough space so he wouldn’t think I was
stalking him.

Not stalking, I reminded myself. It wasn’t stalking. Just making sure our
paths crossed.
Besides, was it really stalking if he was meant to be mine?
The two of us walked across the garage, meeting at the elevator. Jaehan
pressed the button, waiting patiently for the doors to slide open.
“Good morning,” I said.

“Morning,” he chuckled. “You’re here early.”
