Four months ago
Nora Walker poked her head out of her brother’s room in the Iron
Vikings MC clubhouse. She heard a girl laughing in the room across from
hers, but thankfully, she found the hallway empty.
Since the president of IVMC declared the club in lockdown tonight, she
would be stuck in the clubhouse for the unforeseeable future. Nora decided
to go downstairs for a glass of water and just ignore the bikers and their
debauchery. She couldn’t hide in her brother’s room forever.
“Hey Quiet One. You all right?” Turtle asked, standing in the doorway
to his room. The oldest biker in this club had always been nice to her, so
Nora stopped in the middle of the hallway before she gave him a smile and
said, “Yes.”
“Yeah? You sure? Because if any of these fuckers bother you, just say
the word and I’ll deal with them personally.”
“Yes, I’m sure. Thanks, Turtle.”
Nora didn’t think that the seventy-something-year old would scare off
any of these hardened bikers, but she appreciated the sentiment. It was the
thought that counted.
“Okay then. See you later,” he said.
She nodded and continued towards the end of the hallway, where the
sound of rock music blasted up from downstairs.
A weird mixture of relief, hurt and anger coursed through Nora as she
passed her twin sister Cat’s room.
Nora had to find out from her half-sister Gwenn they’d rescued Cat
tonight out of a remote cabin in the woods, and that Cat killed two of her
kidnappers before finally getting together with the man she’d been madly in
love with for almost a decade.
Nora hadn’t spoken to her twin after she’d been brought back into the
clubhouse, since Cat specifically ordered everyone at the club to
keep Nora at bay.
It would never cross Nora’s mind to push her twin sister away after
enduring such a ghastly night. But no matter what horrors life threw at Cat,
she still focused on shielding Nora from all kinds of evil.
Nora entered the bar on her way to the clubhouse kitchen, deep in
thought about Cat practically marrying into this motorcycle gang by
becoming Demon’s Old Lady.
A sudden piercing pain in the sole of her right foot brought tears to
Nora’s eyes.
“Ah!” Nora groaned as she lifted her bare foot from the broken glass
next to one of the pool tables in the back of the clubhouse bar.
“It can speak,” a naked club whore said while spread on her back upon
the green felt.
Nora hopped on her good foot, turning her back to hide her shock from
finding the crowd up and around the pool tables stuck in all kinds of sex
positions.
If it wasn’t bad enough that she’d already heard half of this club doing
God knows what upstairs with the doors to their rooms wide-open, she now
had to walk in on the other half openly fucking downstairs. This lockdown
couldn’t be over soon enough for Nora.
“Up you go, Quiet One,” Angel said while hoisting her into his arms,
