Driving down the dirt road surrounded by nothing but woods, the house is
set back a mile from the main road. Today is a big day for me. My mother’s
been in hiding for years and it’s finally time I introduce Jade to the only other
important woman in my life. Last night I told her how we were able to keep
her hidden for all this time. It’s a team effort, really. Unfortunately for the
others, their moms never got the chance to escape.
I reach over and grab my princess’s hand and place a gentle kiss on her
ring finger. Today I’ll be asking my mother for my grandmother’s ring to
propose with. My heart rate has been out of whack all day. I’ve been so
nervous for this moment. Putting trust in another isn’t my forte. Trusting my
brothers is easy, but with Jade, that took a little bit longer. She proved herself
time and time again though. I can’t wait to make her my wife and make all the
babies I can with her. I don’t know why I’m so nervous. Maybe there’s still a
piece of me that thinks she will say no and only want a life with my brothers,
or maybe I’m still not good enough.
“Jamie, your hands are shaking. What’s going on in that beautiful head of
yours?” She quirks a brow, pulling my hand to her heart. “ It’s okay, baby.
I’m nervous too.” Her heart is beating so fast. Why does that give me a little
hope knowing she’s freaking out just as bad as I am?
“A lot of things flow through my head, Princess. I just want today to be
perfect.” I give her a little smile, showcasing my dimple, and lust fills her
eyes, causing my dick to twitch. Down boy, down. We will stretch her out
later.
“It will be. I just hope your mom likes me.” She sighs.
“Princess, you are perfect and she will see that right off the rip. You have
nothing to worry about.” She nods her head as we finally reach the house. It’s
a beautiful farmhouse style home, with a wrap-around porch and those
swinging chairs.
There are a couple box planters along the steps and navy
blue shutters that perfectly contrast the off-white color of the house. Putting
the car in park, I turn to her and place my hand against her cheek, pulling
her sweet lips to mine. “After we leave here, I want you dripping for me by
the time we make it back to the city. I have a surprise for you when we get
home.” Her eyes light up.
“That depends on how good your finger game is, Mr. Callaghan.” She
giggles and I growl against her lips. She pulls away too soon, already missing
her touch.
