“Four thousand?!” exclaimed Felix.
Tab nodded. “It’s actually five thousand, but I get a cut.”
Felix narrowed his eyes. “Can we say no?”
“Of course you can say no.” Tab rolled his eyes. “Prince Rainier isn’t
going to walk in here and demand someone go with him. He wants a pet for
six months, and he’s willing to pay to sort of adopt one of you, but you
don’t have to dress up and participate. He’s only going to choose from
whoever is in the private room.”

“Would we stay here or go with him?”
“You’d go. I’d think he’d prefer to keep his pet somewhere more private
instead of scheduling weekly sessions. It’s easier. Of course, he might not
pick you. A few other guys are willing to do it, but you could put yourself
out there if you’re willing to give it a go.”
Felix buckled a leather strap onto his left thigh. “Do you happen to know
what Prince Rainier’s like?”

Tab shrugged. “I never met him, but everyone says he’s quite decent, and
you know the Queen is a fair ruler.”
Felix stood to adjust his loincloth which was sheer and left little to the
imagination. “A person might be nice in public and different in private.”
Tab leaned against his dressing table. “I’ve never heard anything bad
about him. I’m sure he’s been to other houses, and I’ve talked to other
owners. They would have said something.”

“Why not find a cat fairy somewhere?”
“I think it’s more about the dressing up.”
Felix fiddled with his chest halter in the looking glass. “Okay. I’ll do it.”
“It’ll be next week.” Tab tilted his head. “You might have to accept a gag
if he picks you. I don’t know if he’d require that.”
Felix scowled. “I hate them.”
“Well, if you want the money, and he picks you…some like to keep their
pets quiet.”

“I can stay quiet by myself.”
“I gag mine sometimes because I like the way it looks, and he likes it.”
“He’s a pony. That’s different.”
“It doesn’t matter. I like the look of it, and the Prince might too. So if he
picks you and says that’s a must, then you probably won’t be a good fit. I’m
just warning you.”

Felix fiddled with the sheer cloth brushing his thighs. “I-I don’t know.”
“Think about it. Maybe he won’t. You can ask, and think of the four
thousand lan’s you’d make if he picked you.” Tab straightened and tugged
down the hem of his shirt. “You don’t have to put yourself out there for
him, and you could say no last minute if you get a bad feeling about him or
something. You know I’d never make any of you do something you don’t
want to do.”

“Let me think about it for a bit.”
Once Tab left his room, Felix attached a thin, gold chain to his nipple
piercings. He used to be okay with gags, but he’d hated them after one
incident when he was new to rough play, young, and stupid. The dominant
should have given him a safety signal to do. Felix had been bound in such a
way, he hadn’t been able to snap his fingers which was a generally accepted
